While touring the minority compound I found myself thinking how their culture is changing. The older women still do the traditional needlework but the younger ones talk on cellphones and drive motorbikes. Here's a photo of a traditional stairway carved from the trunk of a tree.

I couldn't tell the wood for sure but o think it was ironwood in the stool. Well made and well used.
