Up early this morning to get an early start. Had our usual noodle soup breakfast and 0on the road at 0715. Up into the mountains again we had a bird's eye view of the valleys below. This view is typical. There was a family just over the side. Looked like they were heading down a small trail for their day's work in the fields that line many of the hillsides.
On the east facing side of the road cuts and hills I saw many kinds of ferns.
We came upon a bird catcher. He had one in his cage and was looking for more.
Suddenly we came into the elevation of orchids in bloom. These orchids were everywhere on the exposed hillsides
Down to the lower elevations we saw a roadside grist mill. Nice millstone looked like obsidian.
