Russ says this suspension bridge is the first of many. We estimated this one to be 300 feet long.
When we arrived at our destination, this pack train of 22 mules was being loaded. After a short delay while the two mule skinners chased down three escapees, they finished loading two 30 kg bags on each mule and headed out.
We checked into a comfortable teahouse at 1530 and 8,688 feet, having gained about two hundred feet after six hours of walking all those ups and downs.
When I asked if there were local honey, the innkeeper took us out back and pointed out his private beehive.
