Departed at 0745 this morning. No rain or clouds, for a change, but the trail was soaked from heavy rains during the night.

Not long after I took this photo, we topped the crest and started down again. Half hour later, Russ slipped on the muddy wet rocks and, flailing wildly to prevent a fall, pulled or sprained something in his right hip. With Mike, Ramesh and the two porters helping, Russ made it to the teahouse about 1330 at 7,390 feet.
Everest Trail Lodge is our home for tonight. It was a nice little place with a kindly woman tending to our needs.
We were supposed to make it to Phakding today but Russ' injury changed our plans.
Decided to postpone travel decisions until tomorrow.
